UPDATED AS OF 2:40 P.M.
SDIRC Families,
Due to ongoing flooding, road closures have been confirmed in Sebastian Highlands and Vero Lake Estates.
For the safety of our students and transportation staff, school buses will not travel on routes that have been determined unsafe.
Families whose students' bus routes are affected are asked to make arrangements to pick up their children directly from school when they can safely do so.
Students will remain supervised by school staff while families make pickup arrangements.
We understand that these unexpected transportation changes may create challenges for our families, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding.
Please review the accompanying road closure information from Indian River County Emergency Services for the updated list of affected roads.
We will continue monitoring conditions and sharing additional information as it becomes available.

Our VPK students had a wonderful time celebrating Dr. Seuss Week! All week long they enjoyed fun stories, creative activities, and lots of laughter inspired by the imaginative world of Dr. Seuss. We wrapped up the celebration today with our students dressed as their favorite Dr. Seuss characters—bringing the stories to life in the most colorful and creative ways. It was a fantastic week of reading, learning, and fun! #myses
